Collaboration with Halcyon Lake

B.E Architecture is always looking at ways to develop new, customised products to use in our projects. In addition to the architecture, B.E also has a keen interest in designing the interiors and curating artworks of our projects, as a means of integrating the ideas of the building to create a sense of layered materiality and continuity throughout the structure.

We have a wide range of highly skilled and dedicated suppliers who we work closely with to create these specialised products, including our most recent collaboration with David Kiely, Director of Halcyon Lake and B.E Design Director, Broderick Ely.

Halcyon Lake Carpets have been supplying B.E with unique one-off carpets and rugs for many years and were particularly excited to undertake this endeavour, which was made for one of our upcoming projects. The rug is a blend of silk and wool and has a thick, uneven surface that has tapered off edges which allow the rug to sit more like a mound rather than a thick slab on the floor. The fun pale lilac colour was developed over several samples before being made into the final product.

Halcyon Lake is a family run business with nearly 50 years’ experience and has produced many rugs and carpets for B.E projects. Their extensive knowledge of the industry, techniques, materials, production, and the manufacturing process have been the basis of their continued success and our ongoing relationship. The level of service, quality, and follow up from David and the Halcyon Lake team is always amazing and we couldn’t be happier with the results we consistently achieve.
