Art

Architecture while being a creative process, does not replace the subjective conversation that we have with art. The best art is not always obvious and the development to understand what constitutes quality can be quite long, but it is always an interesting journey. Just as good architecture stands the test of time, artwork should remain relevant and meaningful rather than being just a commodity or trophy.
Curation

We work with our clients to help curate collections that are meaningful to them, both now and in the future. It is a process that often involves meeting with gallery owners, participating in auctions as well as meeting the artists themselves and hopefully encourages an appreciation that progresses long after the building is complete.

It is our philosophy that the integration of art in a house is different than selecting a decorative element. We hope to start a conversation on other levels rather than adding something as an extension of the furniture. We believe that art should be something that engages someone on an ongoing basis and encourages thought and discussion.

Introducing our clients to the idea of integrating new art into their homes, we think it is important to include work of an avant-garde nature. In response we understand that building must create a strong dialog with each work in the collection. The architecture must understand that it has a role as the stage,, allowing the art to be the main event. We build site specific installations to which support art of various types including paintings, sculptures, light works as well as multimedia and video works.

The following are works we have worked with our clients to acquire and integrate into their lives.

Philanthropy

We believe that art enriches people’s lives. John Kaldor Family Trust, Heide Museum of Modern Art and ACCA are invested in the promotion of local and international artists, a commitment that makes our lives richer. Philanthropy is important to their survival and we are honoured to be able to support these organisations as visionary leaders of art in Australia.
