Regardless of what material we use, we like to use its greatest potential. This is why we were especially grateful to be recognised as a finalist in the Horbury Hunt Residential category for this year’s Brick Awards for our project McIlwrick Residence. Directors, Broderick Ely and Andrew Piva were at this year’s gala to accept the award.

The shortlist is out from Houses Magazine’s annual awards! The Cassell Street Residence is amongst the esteemed finalists in the category for “New house over 200sqm”.
The Blake Street Residence, Shoreham has been included in the shortlist for the 2011 Houses Awards. The project is in the category for “New house over 200sqm”.
Through the process of designing an architectural project of any kind, we work closely with the councils to create design that are respectful of their greater context. After such a process, we are honoured that the Bayside council has selected our Seacombe Grove Residence as the winner of the “Most Creative Building” in their 2010 Awards.
The structure perched on a rooftop overlooking Parliament House, the Siglo Bar and Restaurant is a small project with a big impact, adding an unforgettable experience to Melbourne’s hospitality scene. The impact of project has been chosen by the AIA as the winner of the “Small Project” category. The award is B.E’s first winning project in the AIA Awards!
Two projects by B.E Architecture have been selected for the 2009 AIA Awards shortlist. In the Residential Architecture – Houses new category we have the 57 Tivoli Road Residence in South Yarra. In the Small Project category we have Siglo Bar and Restaurant. The jury team in each category will evaluate the projects in a site visit and the winners will be announced at the yearly awards ceremony.
B.E’s approach to heritage buildings is to reveal and preserve their history where possible. One of the restoration projects completed by the firm, the Anderson Street Residence has been selected for the Architectural and Design Excellence in the South East Awards for “Outstanding Building Conservation”.
The 57 Tivoli Road Residence uses a distinct approach to stone – clad in various thickness of bluestone on every face. The Australian Stone Architectural Award has selected the project as the “Best Residential Project” for its progressive use of stone.
